Back in 2009, I decided to answer a phone call from a guy that was a known “time-waster”. While past conversations centered on him telling me what HE wanted to do, this time I decided to tell him that I wanted a Knucklehead. He laughed while commenting “Who doesn’t”. I proceeded to mention my hot rods, my years of drag racing, and my 1981 Ironhead that I was building plus the 1970 Ironhead that I had just purchased. After confessing that I am child-free by choice and admitting that my whole world revolves around motorcycles and hot rods, he then paused and said, “Well, would you be interested in a 1956 Panhead?” He gave me the owner’s number so I went over the next night and purchased the engine.
