The legendary Route 66 conjures up visions of the glory days of Americana like no other highway in America. Originally covering a total of 2,448 miles, Route 66 ran from Chicago, Illinois to Santa Monica, California. Many beautiful western vistas can be seen traveling this iconic road. Who can’t picture America’s greatest classic automobiles shining in the sun as they roar down this glorious stretch of highway? Today it’s no longer a main route across the US, so most of the townships are dried up next to nothing. But for the adventurer and outdoor photographer, it’s a gold mine of rusty treasures just waiting to be captured.
