The Troglodyte - 1946 Flathead
Troglodyte- “A person regarded as simple or deliberately oldfashioned” I have been building bikes for a long time and even riding a 1937 ULH for several years. This time I decided to build a long and skinny chopper; very simple, very old-fashioned, a bike I refer to as “The Trog”. I started with the toughest of the Harley breed, the big-twin side valve UL engine, also known as the Flathead. I wanted a clean, open design that could be easily fixed with a flat tip screwdriver or pliers and a rock, if need be, on the side of the road.
